Bank of England unveils new education initiative

The “econoME” programme seeks to bring basic economics into UK classrooms

The Bank of England launched a new educational initiative today (April 27), publishing materials designed to support the teaching of basic economics in schools.

The “econoME” programme offers a set of educational materials to schools that want to teach pupils about economic decision-making. The materials include lesson plans, presentations and interactive activities and videos. The programme is free to download and does not require any formal training in economics.
