Thailand delays selection of central bank chair

Decision follows warning against political interference from four former governors

Thailand today (November 4) postponed selecting a new central bank chair, several days after four former governors aired concerns over potential political interference in its operations

Bank of Thailand (BoT) assistant governor Vireka Suntapuntu said the selection panel would postpone the meeting it had scheduled for today until November 11, according to media reports.
