Polymer banknote provider Innovia bought for $845 million
Innovia bought by Canadian competitor following “successful” year
Global supplier of polymer banknotes Innovia has accepted an offer by a Canadian packaging firm to buy its business for C$1.13 billion (US$844.6 million), the companies announced on December 20.
UK-based Innovia, which provides the substrate for polymer banknotes used in the UK and in Australia, received a lot of media attention this year after it was discovered resin from animal fat was used in the production of its polymer.
