Chinese monetary policy has demonstrated a "notable increase" in its responsiveness to economic conditions during the past decade and a half, research published by the Bank of Finland's Institute for Economies in Transition finds.

The discussion paper, Contemporary monetary policy in China: a move towards price-based policy?, by Riikka Nuutilainen, evaluates a set of reactions functions for the People's Bank of China, using monthly data from 1999–2012.
