Lebanese judge to interview central bank governor
Second judge summons Salameh over allegations as observers say governor could extend term
An investigating magistrate in Lebanon will interview the country’s central bank governor Riad Salameh over financial crime charges.
Agence France-Press said judge Charbel Abu Samra will interview Salameh, his brother Raja and his central bank assistant Marianne Howayek on March 15. AFP first reported the interview on March 6, and Lebanon’s official news agency later put out a short statement confirming the news.
Abu Samra will question the three over charges of illicit enrichment, money
