Chair of UK Treasury committee concerned that changes to ATM networks could threaten financial inclusion
Financial inclusion in the UK could take a hit from proposed revisions to the nation’s free ATM network, the chair of the Treasury Select Committee has said.
Link, the UK’s cash machine network, has proposed lowering the cost of the interchange fee it charges card operators to use its ATM networks from 25p to 20p.
In a statement published in November, Treasury Select Committee chair Nicky Morgan said: “It seems intuitive that a 20% reduction in the interchange fee received by an ATM operator
