SNB signs MoU on membership to Bank Council

Switzerland's finance ministry and central bank on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) setting out the criteria for appointments to the Swiss National Bank's (SNB) Bank Council.

The SNB said the principles outlined in the MoU for membership to the Bank Council, signed by itself and the Federal Department of Finance, aimed to ensure "the specialised abilities and qualities that are important for the SNB are maintained in the Bank Council at all times".

Under the agreement
