Swedish central bank affected by ransomware attack
Riksbank’s HR and payroll reportedly still impeded after hackers targeted third-party cloud provider
The software company targeted in a hack on January 19 that brought down the human resources (HR) and payroll services at Sweden’s central bank said today (January 29) that it had made progress in “the restoration of customer-specific systems”.
The ransomware attack on a data centre operated by Tietoevry, a third-party cloud provider, caused outages in government institutions and a number of private companies, Bloomberg reported.
