RBA plans to migrate to third-party data centre

Releases tender for panel of legal advisers to review proposals

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is moving its head office data centre to a third-party provider under an A$37 million (US$25 million) deal.

The central bank issued a tender on July 8 for a panel of legal experts to review its migration proposals. Australia’s iTnews reported this is a requirement for contracts worth more than A$400,000, where the work forms part of critical infrastructure, has cyber resilience implications, or where cloud services are procured.
