Prosecutor says he will appoint new judge to investigate corruption allegations against Riad Salameh
Investigating magistrates from European countries interviewed a former senior Lebanese official over corruption allegations against the country’s central bank governor, Agence France-Presse reported.
Lebanon’s chief prosecutor said the country will appoint a new investigating judge to probe corruption allegations against Riad Salameh, the central bank’s governor. Ghassan Oueidat told newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat today (January 17) he would appoint another investigator in the coming days.
