World Bank president under fire over climate comments
David Malpass seemed unsure about man-made climate change
World Bank president David Malpass has been heavily criticised for comments that initially seemed to question whether fossil fuels were linked to climate change.
Malpass said on September 20 that he doesn’t “even know” if man-made fossil fuel consumption is dangerously warming the planet’s climate. “I’m not a scientist,” said Malpass at an event held by the New York Times. He made the comment after apparently dodging the question multiple times.
