El Salvador central bank launches statistics app

Central bank says app designed to improve accessibility of economic data

The Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador has launched a mobile application in a bid to enable the public to more easily view recent economic data.

‘Statistics BCRSV’ presents information on 17 economic indicators such as GDP, foreign direct investment and the trade balance. The central bank hopes the app will help fulfil its mandate to publish macroeconomic statistics in a timely manner.
