UAE plugs in to IMF’s enhanced data standards
IMF’s chief statistician hails the move as an “important step forward”
The UAE has become the latest country to sign up to the International Monetary Fund’s enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS), becoming the first among the Gulf states to introduce a ‘National Summary Data Page’.
The NSDP is a portal that collects together a country’s main macroeconomic indicators in both machine- and human-readable formats, the IMF explains in a statement released on June 29.
