US jobs report shows large increase in jobs and further drop in unemployment
Donald Trump appeared to drop a large hint that jobs data, published today (June 1), would paint a favourable picture of the US economy, in a tweet published more than an hour ahead of the official release.
“Looking forward to seeing the employment numbers at 8:30 this morning,” Trump tweeted, at 7:21am local time. The president tends to be briefed on the figures ahead of the release.
