Israel’s Eckstein on closing employment gap

Zvi Eckstein, the deputy governor of the Bank of Israel, on Thursday called for major policy efforts to close gaps in employment between the Arab and Jewish populations.

At the Sixth Annual Gathering of the Jaffa Convention on Jewish-Arab Relations in Israel, Eckstein spoke of the gaps in employment, income, education and urban development between Jews and Arabs in Israel.
