Crisis impacting low-income countries: DSK
Third wave of the crisis is hitting low-income countries, said Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Strauss-Kahn said that people in the most vulnerable countries were not forgotten. The main impact of the crisis on these countries would be through trade, but a decline in foreign direct investment and remittances would also act as a drag on growth. Countries might also face higher debt service from currency depreciation and rising interest rates
