Portugal less vulnerable to global price shocks: Bank of Portugal paper

Portugal is less vulnerable to increases in the price of exports than most euro area countries, according to a Bank of Portugal paper published on Thursday.

Sónia Cabral and Cristina Manteu, the paper's authors, estimate the price elasticity of external demand of Portuguese exports between 1995 and 2009 to compare the price elasticity of external demand in Portugal with other euro area countries.
