Bank of Canada – Monetary Policy Report (January 2011)

The Bank of Canada's Monetary Policy Report for January, published on Wednesday, said the Canadian recovery was expected to gain momentum in 2011 on the back of a rise in exports.

The central bank projected the economy to expand by 2.4% in 2011 and 2.8% in 2012 with net exports expected to make an increasingly positive contribution to growth over the projection horizon, aided by a further depreciation of the US dollar and firming external demand for US goods and services.
