BoE's Tucker wants more robust CCP governance

Paul Tucker has called on international authorities to do more to "shore up" the governance of central counterparties (CCPs) – and warned that the Bank of England will not be able to stress-test UK CCPs until essential loss-allocation work is conducted at the international level.

Tucker, the Bank of England deputy governor for financial stability, appeared before the UK parliament's Treasury Select Committee today to discuss the central bank's proposals for a new stress-testing regime.
