BoE’s non-bank liquidity facility to open for applications in 2025

Other central banks have shown “lots of interest”, says deputy governor

The Bank of England (BoE) will begin receiving applications for its new emergency liquidity facility for non-banks next year, a deputy governor has said.

Speaking at an event in London on December 9, Dave Ramsden said the BoE was finalising “a few remaining design details” of the contingent non-bank financial institutions repurchase facility (CNRF).

“We will be opening for applications at the start of 2025 – something we’ll make sure we advertise widely at the time,” he said.
