Iceland in talks to avoid downgrade following 'no' vote

Central Bank of Iceland governor Már Guðmundsson on Monday told CentralBanking.com the institution was "in a dialogue with the rating agencies" in order to avoid a possible downgrade after the country rejected a second deal to repay the British and Dutch governments.

The UK and the Netherlands will now have to take Iceland to court to claim back money paid to investors who held Icesave accounts with Icelandic bank Landsbanki, which collapsed during the country's financial crisis.
