Fed appeals to withhold bailout names
The Federal Reserve was set to take to a US appeals court on Monday to block the release of the names of banks that it bailed out following the collapse of Lehman Brothers in September 2008.
A case manager at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan, New York confirmed that the case was due to be heard today. He was unable to say when a decision might be reached, but added that a snap decision was highly unlikely.
