A new European anti-money laundering (AML) authority will need to build a supervisory culture, but it cannot rely on a rules-based approach to do so, Derville Rowland, deputy governor of the Central Bank of Ireland said today (May 16).
Speaking at a conference hosted by the Bank of Lithuania, Rowland applauded the “truly historic” collective call for a new AML supervisory authority in the European Union.
