People: IMF appoints general counsel
Bank of Russia names new monetary policy head; Rob Brand becomes DNB’s chief investment officer
Washington, DC: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has named Yan Liu as its new general counsel. She will replace Rhoda Weeks-Brown, who retired in August.
Liu is currently the IMF’s deputy general counsel and has been a lawyer at the organisation since 1999. Her current portfolio includes leading “key strategic initiatives” in the legal department and managing risks related to the institution’s work.
