Matolcsy tears into government’s economic policy
In the latest round in the ongoing spat between Hungary’s government and central bank, the bank’s governor has said the country needs a “full economic turnaround”.
György Matolcsy told a conference in the east of the country on September 5 that the consensus in the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) “is that the country has been off the correct economic policy track since 2021”.
