Norway and Czech Republic hold rates
Norges Bank 'likely' to make small increase in December
Two European central banks have joined the eurozone and UK in holding interest rates steady in decisions announced on November 2.
Norges Bank’s monetary policy committee held its policy rate at 4.25%, though it said it would probably increase the rate at year’s end. The Norwegian central bank has raised its rates 13 times since September 2021, from 0% to its current level. The last pause in this cycle was at the January 2023 meeting.
The Czech National Bank kept its policy rate steady at 7%
