Banks in Kyrgyzstan suspend Mir

Operations limited in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Vietnam on threat of US sanctions

Three banks in Kyrgyzstan have suspended Mir, the Russian payment card, despite Russia’s deputy prime minister Aleksey Overhuk last week calling on the need to “expand the networks of banks” that use Russian payments systems in the country.
