People: World Bank appoints new vice-president for integrity

BIS appoints new deputy head of banking, and Bank of Finland recruits sustainability specialist

Washington, US: Mouhamadou Diagne has been appointed as the World Bank’s vice-president of integrity, taking up the role later this year.

He will succeed Ethiopis Tafara, who was made acting vice-president following the departure of Pascale Helene Dubois in November 2019. She held the role for just over two and half years before resigning. Tafara will continue to act as vice-president until Diagne takes up his new position.

Diagne’s appointment will put him in charge of the World Bank
