Riksbank deputy appointments boost easing hopes
The Sveriges Riksbank today named Martin Flodén and Cecilia Skingsley as deputy governors, fuelling expectations the executive board will ease policy in its next meeting.
Flodén and Skingsley will serve five- and six-year terms, respectively, and replace Lars Svensson and Barbro Wickman-Parak after their terms expired this week. Svensson cited a failure to win support on the executive board for more aggressive monetary easing as his reason for leaving.
