Svensson: Riksbank’s forecasts 'confused'

Lars Svensson, a deputy governor at Sweden's Riksbank, has raised issues regarding a positive bias in forecast of the repo rate and level of resource use in the country, according to minutes of the central bank's executive board meeting published on January 3.

Minutes of the December 19 meeting show the executive board voted to cut the repo rate by 25 basis points to 1.75%, amid concerns the debt crisis in Europe would negatively affect the Swedish economy. However, Svensson and Karolina Ekholm
