Carstens laments four fundamental weaknesses at IMF
The Mexican central bank governor, Agustín Carstens, who is one of the two candidates for the position of managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said in a statement given to the executive board on Tuesday, that he sees four fundamental weaknesses in the Fund.
Following his formal interview with the board, an official statement was released wherein Carstens discussed his concerns about governance, crisis prevention, crisis resolution and policy co-ordination.
Carstens said
