Buba says many points in Basel Accord unresolved

Germany's Bundesbank said on Thursday regulators had left many points unresolved after meeting in New York this week to review changes to the Basel Accord on global banking regulations.

But Bundesbank council member Edgar Meister said regulators would maintain their goal of completing revisions to the draft by May 2001, despite protests by Germany's top banking lobby that it would be hard-pressed to complete consultations by then.
