Turkey's Basci keeps mouth zipped

As the uncertainty over the identity of the next central bank governor continues, Turkey's acting governor Erdem Basci declined to respond to reporters questions on the matter.

Basci said that he had decided independently not to speak out, gesturing a zipping action at his mouth, thenewanatolian.com said.

Erdem Basci attended a seminar organized by the World Bank in Ankara, alongside State Minister Ali Babacan and other high level state officials.

Minister Babacan also did not reply to questions
