Communication and financial inclusion are critical concerns, Summer Meetings panellists agree
Central bankers say there is a wide array of use cases for central bank digital currency (CBDC), but caution against letting the focus of digital currency projects become too broad.
“We are at a point in history where we have the opportunity to make a global payments landscape without the fragmentation of today,” said one participant in a session of the Central Banking Summer Meetings on June 14.
