Central Bank of Argentina calls for investigation of IMF agreement
Fund granted South American economy over $57 billion in 2018, its largest-ever package
The Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA) is calling for an investigation into the previous government’s rescue package agreement with the International Monetary Fund.
The central bank submitted to the Anti-Corruption Office “all the documentation related to the last agreement signed by Argentina with the International Monetary Fund, to determine if they caused damage to the state”, the BCRA says in a statement published on March 1.
