More US adults report an improved financial situation in a survey carried out by the Federal Reserve, but inequality persists as a major factor in the economy.
The Report on the economic well-being of US households says that “74% of adults reported they were doing at least OK financially in 2017, up 10 percentage points from the first survey in 2013.”
But important differences among ethnic groups, regions and educational levels persist. Additionally, a significant share of the population
