IMF approves $4 billion payment for Argentina
Country passes first IMF review, but reserves have declined in recent weeks
The International Monetary Fund’s executive board approved $4 billion in funding for Argentina on June 24. The disbursement is the second instalment of a $45 billion package approved in March, following a payment of more than $9.6 billion when the loan was first confirmed.
