IMF reveals Cofer submitters but scraps advanced-emerging breakdown

96 economies agree to be identified as Cofer submitters

The International Monetary Fund published a list of the economies submitting the composition of their foreign exchange reserves for the first time today (September 30), but scrapped its breakdown of countries into advanced and emerging groups.

The fund revealed 96 economies that agreed to be identified as submitters to the Currency Composition of Official Foreign Exchange Reserves (Cofer) database. Fifty others refused to be identified, and more still report only the overall figure for reserves
