The ECB: member concerns over inflation

Some members of the European Central Bank’s governing council voiced concerns about higher inflation risks at its last policy meeting, newly published minutes show.

Eurostat, the European Union statistical agency, calculated that eurozone year-on-year inflation, measured by the harmonised index of consumer prices, rose by 3.4% in September. This is considerably higher than the ECB’s 2% target.
