Riksbank stresses pandemic’s unpredictability

Two board members thought it unnecessary to increase asset purchases, minutes show

Sveriges Riksbank’s board members highlighted on November 26 how the pandemic makes it difficult to foresee how the economy will evolve.

The meeting’s minutes say board members “noted that the pandemic is unpredictable and that there is still considerable uncertainty surrounding economic developments”.
