Democratic Republic of Congo: The Central Bank of Congo raised its policy rate by 200 basis points to 11% on June 19, its highest level since 2021.
The central bank also raised the reserve requirement on domestic currency deposits to 10%, from 0%. The decision is the third increase in the headline rate in seven months, following 75bp increases in November and March.
