Riksbank’s Jansson warned of inflation disappointment at hike meeting

Deputy governor voted against the policy rate hike in December

Sveriges Riksbank’s Per Jansson expressed concern over the “disappointing” inflation outcomes in Sweden in recent months, voting against a rate hike, the minutes of the December monetary policy meeting show.

Headline CPIF (consumer price index with fixed interest rate) inflation had been forecast at 2.5% in both October and November, but the outcome was 2.4% in October and 2.1% in November, Jansson noted.
