Bank Indonesia holds rates at 5.75%

Central bank faces dilemma of whether to prioritise bolstering growth or propping up currency

Indonesia’s central bank today (February 19) held its policy rate at 5.75%.

Bank Indonesia (BI) maintained its benchmark seven-day reverse repurchase rate at 5.75%. It also held its deposit facility and lending facility rates at 5% and 6.5% respectively.
