Turkish deputy governor resigns to join development bank

Erkan Kilimci was appointed to role in May 2016 and held MPC seat

A deputy governor at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has resigned in order to take up a senior role at the country’s state-owned development bank.

Erkan Kilimci resigned late in August to join the board of directors of Kalkinma, the official Development Bank of Turkey, a central bank spokesman said in an email.

Kilimci was made one of the four deputy governors of the CBRT in May 2016. He held a seat on the bank’s monetary policy committee and was appointed to the place left
