Researchers at the National Bank of Poland have found evidence of a "substantial decrease" in the impact of the exchange rate on consumer prices, according to a working paper published by the central bank.

In Monetary policy transmission mechanism in Poland: what do we know in 2013? Mariusz Kapuściński, Tomasz Łyziak, Jan Przystupa, Ewa Stanisławska, Anna Sznajderska and Ewa Wróbel find an "impairment" in the "relative strength and efficiency" of the exchange rate channel of the monetary policy
