Beth Hammack named new Cleveland Fed president

Former Goldman Sachs executive will vote on Fed policy in 2024

On May 29, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland announced Beth Hammack will serve as its next president and chief executive.

Hammack will assume office on August 21, 2024, in time to serve as a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) for the remainder of the year. She will therefore vote on monetary policy at the September, November and December meetings.

Previously Hammack was co-head of global financing at Goldman Sachs. She has also sat on several advisory groups with the US
