People: ECB appoints new head of macro-pru
BIS names Innovation Hub directors; Bundesbank sends representative to Madrid; and more
Frankfurt: The European Central Bank’s executive board appointed Cornelia Holthausen director-general, macro-prudential policy and financial stability. She will take up the position on December 1.
Holthausen has worked at the ECB for almost the whole of its existence, starting as an economist at the bank in September 1999. She served as deputy director-general of market operations between 2012 and 2020, where she oversaw benchmark rates. She became deputy director-general of economics in
