People: Sarb deputy governor retires after 10-year term

South Africa: South Africa Reserve Bank deputy governor Daniel Mminele will retire on June 30 after serving his second five-year term, the bank announced today (June 27).
Mminele leaves after holding several positions during the almost 20 years he has been at the Sarb. He is the second deputy governor to leave in the last six months, after Francois Groepe’s resignation in January. The Sarb normally has three deputy governors, but the South African government has not yet filled the vacancy left
