Tito Mboweni succeeds Nene but opposition party questions his “radical views”
A former governor of the South African Reserve Bank has been chosen to lead the country’s finance ministry following the resignation of Nhlanhla Nene on October 9.
Tito Mboweni, who served as governor of the central bank for a decade starting in 1999, was chosen by president Cyril Ramaphosa to succeed Nene, a statement from the president’s office said.
