People: Maltese deputy resigns; India and Macedonia seek new deputies
Maltese deputy will depart in June; RBI seeks replacement for SS Mundra
Malta: Alfred Mifsud, deputy governor of the Central Bank of Malta, has resigned from the institution, he revealed during testimony in court on May 23.
Mifsud will leave the bank on June 30, a spokesman confirmed. He tendered his resignation on March 15. The former governor of Malta’s Financial Services Authority was appointed deputy governor of the central bank in 2015, following a 46-year career in the financial services industry.
